The journey of PKPA starts from December 1997. The first place rented was an apartment in Chaklala Scheme III Rawalpindi. A free clinic was started and a doctor volunteered free services for couple of hours every day. In March 2004, it moved to Harley Street Rawalpindi and the number of staff and patients increased. There was again shortage of space, so it moved to Cantonment General Hospital (CGH) in May 2007. In the meantime the foundation of new building was laid and within a year the new building was ready to be moved in. It was designed in a way to cater the needs and requirements of the kidney patients and an OPD. The new building became operational on 14th August 2009 with the blessings of Almighty Allah and the efforts of the members.
